The nails have enough of a head to do the job as there is some significant "cupping" of some of the boards. I was told that a framing-type nailer would most likely split the wood, that a stapler might be the best choice. I decided to try these (as I had been meaning to buy the Bostich fastener anyway (I rate it a 5 star also) and am glad I did. I wasn't sure what to expect on 2 things.the ability of these nails to attach "Rough Cut" siding to the outside of my shop and how these "aftermarket" nails will operate in the gun. I plan on finishing the project with some strategically placed screws in high stress areas. Not a single jam and the siding looks great. 5 stars on both counts. They did not split the siding averaging 3/8" to 1/2" attached "clapboard" style.
It was a great experience doing business with the seller too. I found the product to be of high quality and the delivery time was very fast and well pack. I used this product and very pleased with the proformance.
And they hold tight. Not one time did two nails come out at once. :) These nails fit the Bostich gun perfectly. I never had a single problem with any nail bending or deflecting.
